The Onion is the gold standard when it comes to parody and satire news. This American digital media company is based in Chicago and began as a print newspaper in 1988. The online version started in 2007 as the "Onion News Network" and frequently includes op-ed and editorials that mock both real events and create completely fictional events.

2. Satire News Network

SNN known as the Satire News Network is modeled as a CNN News Parody Site in a similar fashion to The Onion. While SNN is a newer site in the Satire News genre and it has high quality writing and hilarious stories. We have added to the top of the Satire News Sites List.

3. News Biscuit

The News Biscuit is a UK News Site. According to their FAQ "NewsBiscuit was launched in September 2006, with a view to increasing the amount of British satire on the web. It was founded by John O’Farrell who still edits it with varying degrees of support and input from other professional comedy writers from his murky past. Many of the front page stories originate from the submissions board which is proving to be a vibrant seedbed of emerging comic talent. Writers from NewsBiscuit have gone on to write for BBC Radio."

4. Daily Mash

The Daily Mash is a British satirical website providing parodic commentary on current affairs and other news stories. Neil Rafferty (a former political correspondent for The Sunday Times) and Paul Stokes (former business editor of The Scotsman), created the website in 2007 and remain the lead writers (Credit: Wikipedia).
